How many times have you regretted not acting on your first impressions or hunches? Your first impressions of numbers that come into the mind are also important. It has long been understood by those involved in occult or mystical studies that there is a certain cosmic process that takes place in the conscious and subconscious mind. This process is based on the fact that if the mind is concerned with a particular matter, any number or set of numbers automatically coming into the mind bear a direct relationship to the nature of the thought.

This is because numbers are symbols. Each number from 1 to 9 has, since ancient times, symbolically possessed a certain nature and character. On a conscious level, we’re not usually aware of how number symbols relate to our thoughts. Curiously, however, the subconscious mind clearly seems to understand the meaning of the number symbols.

Our thoughts exist basically on two levels. One side is known as the conscious mind. The other, more hidden side is the subconscious mind. It is the subconscious mind that is the memory bank of the brain. Like the elephant, it never forgets. This is why hypnotists and others who deal with reaching the subconscious mind can get an individual to recall many facts, events, and experiences that have been long forgotten by the conscious mind. In Numerology the same result can be achieved by reaching into the subconscious and arriving at an answer simply by selecting a number or a series of numbers.

For instance, the number 6 may come into someone’s mind. The average person may be unaware of the qualities and nature of the 6, or any other number, and may not give it a second thought. But to an Astrologer, Numerologist, mystic, seer, Rosicrucian, or others, this number can open up a world of symbols and information when properly understood. The Astrologer may interpret the 6 as belonging to the planet Venus, which governs the signs of Taurus and Libra, and as a result, the concern may be about an individual born under these influences. A Numerologist may interpret the 6 as having to do with the home, family, or loved ones.

What I’m about to share with you is a method of reaching the subconscious mind by the thought selection of numbers. This is nothing new and was demonstrated with much success to the master Astrologer Sepharial (1864-1929) by swami from the East. Later, Astrologer Sydney Omarr carried this further in his “thought dial” concept.

Both Sepharial and Omarr agree that the following steps are necessary to get the right results. First, relax, then allow the question to form clearly in your mind, being as specific as possible. Now, Sepharial suggests that you write down the first nine numbers that come into your mind. To these nine numbers, add the number 3. Add up the ten figures to get your answer. Omarr’s method is even simpler. He suggests that you simply write down the first three numbers that come to mind, then add up the three number to get a single digit.

Let’s try it. I ask myself “What am I thinking of?” Then I take the first three numbers that come to mind – 2, 1, and 7 = 10; 1+0 = 1. The number 1 and its symbols will be the clue in this particular case. Now, take your thoughts and questions, relax and concentrate. Choose the first three numbers that come to mind, add them up, and check for meanings below.

Thought Reading Answers

If the total adds up to the single number of 1 :

• Yes is definitely the answer to the question.
• The person in question was born under the sings of Leo or Aquarius, or on dates adding to the single number of 1 or 4.
• Consciously, the subject’s question may concern new projects, activities, friends, and circumstances. All indications are that the subject should start going his or her own way, rather than following others at this time. Move ahead and take charge. Subconsciously, there’s an inner desire to be free and independent; make a change and begin things anew.

If the total adds up to 2 :

• No is definitely the answer to the question.
